I recently met with Richard Holden, MP for Basildon and Billericay and representatives from National Grid to discuss the ridiculous Norwich to Tilbury pylon scheme which is causing a huge amount of disruption to our constituents and the natural environment the constituents of Brentwood and Ongar, and Basildon and Billericay, enjoy.
We heard about the current status of the project which is currently in its examination stage and the next steps, and laid out our concerns about the adverse impact of the proposals on the lives and livelihoods of those in the path of the pylons.
Once the Secretary of State has reached a final decision on the scheme, which will be early next year, we will be holding a public meeting which we will publish details on closer to the time.
