As many parents are all too well aware, competition for a place at your local or first choice primary school is increasing. There is a looming shortage of primary school places for the number of children heading towards "big school" in the next few years, so Essex County Council has commenced a public consultation on a proposal to expand Warley Primary School, with effect from 1 September 2019. It's a lovely little school which was used as a polling station for the General Election, where local people coming in to vote were greeted by some magnificent flying art work!
A copy of the consultation document can be viewed at the following address: http://essex.gov.uk/schoolconsultations
Parents, carers and other interested persons are invited to attend a public meeting, where officers from Essex County Council will be available to talk about the proposed expansion and answer questions. Two meetings will be held on Thursday, 16 November 2017, at 2:30pm and at 6pm in the school on Chindits Lane, Warley, Brentwood, Essex, CM14 5LF. Those wishing to attend may come along at whichever time is most convenient to them.
If you want more information about the proposal you can write to the School Organisation Team, PO Box 4261, Chelmsford, Essex, CM1 1GS or emailing school.organisation@essex.gov.uk
The closing date for receipt of comments on the proposal will be 3 December 2017.
