As promised in my previous articles about the ongoing consultation (7th and 16th February) about the future use of Brentwood Community Hospital, I have attended the consultation event held by Mid and South Essex ICB and have submitted my views through the consultation process as follows:
Brentwood Consultation meeting now arranged by Mid and South Essex Integrated Care Board at Brentwood Community Hospital on 1st March from 10-12noon in the Board Room.
I am keen to support all initiatives to reduces waiting times for NHS patients who need elective treatment for various conditions. The Spire Hartswood Hospital in Brentwood provides an excellent service to many people in Brentwood for NHS care and for those who have private health insurance.
The Government has awarded £5m to University of Essex researchers working with Essex County Council, Thurrock Council, Southend-on-Sea City Council, for a project looking at how to reduce health inequalities in Essex.
Alex Burghart MP has welcomed the Government’s announcement that hundreds of thousands of patients will have more choice in their own care as those who have been waiting the longest for treatment will be offered the opportunity to travel to a different hospital, if it means they could be seen soo
I attended a memorial event at Brentwood Community Hospital, organised by the North East London NHS Foundation Trust (NELFT), to remember NHS staff and patients lost to the pandemic. The event also offered an opportunity to thank all those, who helped deliver care at this difficult time.
Caring for older people at home instead of admitting them to hospital requires careful organisation and collaborative working between GPs, physiotherapists, occupational therapists and social care providers.
