The energy company E.ON has been in touch to say it is looking for applications from local organisations for funds from its Energising Communities Fund.
Groups and charities in Brentwood and Ongar can apply for funding up to £2,000 which can cover the full or partial cost of energy-related improvements and activities.
E.ON tell me that since launching the fund in 2013, it has distributed over £140,000 to almost 85 community groups nationwide to fund energy-related projects. As heating bills can account for a large part of the running costs for a community group or charity the need to become energy efficient and save on costs is really important. This fund aims to assist these groups and charities to become more sustainable and begin to lower these costs.
To be eligible for funding, organisations must submit a request by midnight on Monday 29th January 2018. For full terms and conditions of this opportunity please visit www.eonenergy.com/community to find out more.
