I am aware there are many people in Brentwood who need to get to hospital appointments and consultations but have difficulty in finding appropriate and affordable travel options. This is why it's good to hear the NHS Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs) in Mid and South Essex have carried out a procurement exercise for the contract to operate the non-emergency patient transport service across the whole of mid and South Essex which covers Basildon and Brentwood, Castle Point and Rochford, Mid Essex, Southend and Thurrock CCG areas.
HTG-UK, formerly Thames Ambulance Service, has operated non-emergency patient transport services in the region since 2009 and was already one of the incumbent providers in mid and south Essex. Non-emergency patient transport is a critical cog in the NHS system, ensuring patients are able to access healthcare appointments and supporting flow through our local hospitals.
If you feel you are eligible for this service, more information can be found in the brochure below.
